MGM Grand Incorporate was founded in 1986 in Las Vegas Nevada by Kirk Kerkorian, before merging with Mirage Resorts in 2000. British GVC Holdings has been around since 2004 and has since acquired a number of other UK gambling companies. These are Coral and Ladbrokes which is why the company becomes Ladbrokes Coral Plc. named.

With $3.7 billion in revenue, it is rightfully one of the highest earning gambling companies on this list and also the largest with 30,000 employees on its payroll.

In addition to Coral and Ladbrokes, GVC Holdings also has other brands and products within its business. For example, they offer sports betting via Party Casino and Gala, Foxy and Bwin are also part of GVC Holdings.

In November 2020, GVC will change its name to Entain.
